The Bathtub Brew has been in existence since March of 2008. The equipment was a 30th birthday present from Sam. Apparently I needed a hobby and she was tired of all the money I was spending on beer.
Sam got a great deal on used Scuttlebutt bottles from a batch that had gone bad. All of my supplies came from Homebrew Heaven as I like to call it "the promised land." The bast thing about Homebrew Heaven is that it is in Everett so it is super easy to just run by and get supplies when we need them.
Our first batch of beer was the West Coast Blonde, we have also brewed a batch of Beer (that is the name of it), British Pale Ale and Rockin' Red. The Rockin' Red is just now in bottles and will be inaugurated tonight. I will give you the recap in my next post. As for the reason behind the title, hang on, I will get to it soon. I wouldn't want to give away all my secrets on the first date.

Let me know how the Red turns out. I made that one and was pleasently surprised. I made a different Red and added lactose to the bottling. Very nice, but took longer to age. The Rock n' red took longer to age before it tasted good too come to think of it.
It has been in bottles for just over 2 weeks and Eric tried it last night. I think that one specifically said to wait at least 2 weeks to try in the directions. Don't most of them somewhat get better with age?
